Events & Networking
LEND members are able to attend our regular programme of topical and informative events and
conferences at a substantially discounted rate. From updates on Disability Discrimination
legislation to the latest in aids and adaptations, these practical events are designed to keep you
informed, as well as allow you to network with professionals from other organisations and share
experiences and advice. |
Legal Link-up
Through our links with Edinburgh-based legal firm, Law at Work, you can access advice and
support in developing inclusive employment policies including recruitment and selection, contracts
of employment, discipline and grievance procedures. |
Newsletter
Our newsletter “Integrate” will shortly be replaced by a new monthly online newsletter keeping you up to date with news, views, legal issues, events and
the latest developments in the field of disability and employment. You can sign up to receive a copy from the home page of this site. Non-members can also sign up to receive this newsletter although they wont have access to additional information and features that are downloadable from the members' section of this site. |
Disability Status Review
This self-assessment, disability audit tool is designed to help you:
- Review where your organisation stands at the current time in respect of employing people with
disabilities and encouraging them as customers.
- Identify areas of priority, forming the basis of future action plans relevant to your particular
business.
Members are also offered a free half-day consultancy session with Intowork to assist them in using
the document and to dentify areas for development. |
Vacancy Link
Vacancy Link is a free service that allows organisations to advertise their vacancies directly to people with disabilities. If you have a vacancy to fill email the job advert to LEND and it will be included in our regular email bulletin to over 40 local agencies that support people with disabilities into employment.
